Excited to be working on the following projects:
1) VISUALLY SPEAKING – PROCLAMATION IN A DIGITAL AGE
Drawing from my work in the faith community and in film I am exploring how these two intersect. This spring I am teaching a course on “Biblical Perspectives” at the Compass College of Cinematic Arts. Next winter my wife and I will be teaching a continuing education course at Princeton Theological Seminary on “Visually Speaking – Proclamation In A Digital Age.”
2) THE SEA HATES A COWARD –
7 Leadership Essentials to Navigate Life’s Storms
Working on a new book sharing what I’ve learned leading a congregation through an economic downturn, strategic plans, competition from a nearby megachurch, and creating a message and mission that resonates in a digital world. 1.7 people leave the traditional church for every one person that joins. And yet, over the past decade Mayflower Church’s membership has grown 25% and its giving has grown 55%. In The Sea Hates a Coward, I share the hard-fought lessons I’ve learned leading Mayflower through storms and into new horizons.
Starting an EDM band that blends the poetry of Pablo Neruda and the melodies of Dmitry Shostakovich.
4) PHOTOGRAPHY – IN MOTION
I’m enjoying taking photographs of places where people are in motion and the unexpected art and images we can find there. These are a series of photographs I took in the London Tube in January 2018.
